Bridgeway Christian Academy Hosts End of Year Celebration

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

On Friday evening, May 19th Bridgeway Christian Academy celebrated their 1st year as BCA with a ceremony to recognize donors, new parents, teachers and students.

State Senator Scott Talley was our special guest and we showcased the many dramatic upgrades and improvements made to our school during the 2016-2017 Academic Year. We also had the chance to highlight the plans for the new state-of-the-art High School that will open this coming August with the start of 9th grade.

It has been an amazing year and we are so grateful for all the prayers and support we’ve received from so many people.

BCA Gains Accreditation Through ACSI and Advanced Ed/SACS

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

BCA gained accreditation this week through ACSI (Christian School Accrediting Agency) and Advanced Ed/SACS (Public School Accrediting Agency).

“The purpose of ACSI Certification is to strengthen Christian schools by credentialing educators who meet established professional and biblical requirements which promotes continued professional learning and increased effectiveness. Establishing and maintaining the certification of staff and administration is an essential step toward professional credibility and growth. Education is a process,” states the ACSI website.

“AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. While their expertise is grounded in more than a hundred years of work in school accreditation, AdvancED is far from a typical accrediting agency. Their goal isn’t to certify that schools are good enough. Rather, their commitment is to help schools improve,” states AdvancED.

The visiting team visited BCA April 24-26 and unanimously approved the recommendation for accreditation to both agencies.

We want to send a huge thank you to our teachers, administrators, parents, students, and staff who submitted surveys, worked tireless hours on curricula, were interviewed, and prepared for the accreditation visit.

We look forward to the new year!
