BCA Packs 10,000 Meals for Hungry Children

By December 13, 2017Uncategorized
Bridgeway Christian Academy just had an event where students, parents, grandparents, school board members, faculty and staff packed 10,000 meals for hungry children in Haiti and Greenville. This amazing accomplishment was the culmination of a semester-long campaign in which our families solicited donations from personal and business relationships that will help provide scholarship assistance and curriculum enhancements for our school.
In addition to having a great turnout of parent volunteers, we got some great local media coverage from both WSPA TV and WORD Radio. We also had a live DJ and Harrison Orthodontics was kind enough to provide and man a photo booth that added to the festivities.
Of the 10,000 meals packed, 9,000 will go to Bethel Mission Outreach, a ministry partner with Bridgeway Church and 1,000 will go to Harvest Hope Food Bank, an organization in Greenville that provides assistance for those in need in Greenville.
Thanks so much to all who participated in this wonderful endeavor that not only benefits BCA but will make a significant difference in the lives of many overseas and right here in our own backyard.
