Online Giving to BCA

At Bridgeway Christian Academy, our heart is to prepare our students to lead and serve through the lens of a Jesus-worldview, while at the same time providing a quality academic education that will prepare students for their life’s journey. Through the blessing of God and His favor upon us, BCA has been able to do just that for the past 30 years. Now, we are at an exciting and pivotal point in our growth under the umbrella of Bridgeway Church, and we want to continue to be obedient and honor God by using our time, talents and treasures for His Glory!

As you prayerfully consider making your gift, please know that it will be gratefully received and used as you have designated. The needs we currently have for our amazing school will require many gifts, both large and small. We ask that you prayerfully consider making a 12-month pledge or a one-time annual gift to help us achieve our $200,000 goal.

Help us continue to provide excellent education

Current Needs

This initiative will provide students with the technology enhancements to become prepared for 21st century demands. Your gifts will allow students to take advantage of the recent upgrades to our computers, the purchase of more laptops for our students and upcoming high school students, and the securing of interactive white boards for classrooms. This all leads to the demand for a much more reliable fiber optic internet connection to the school. This initiative will also serve us well as we begin to prepare for some online learning capabilities for our high school students beginning in August 2017.

We value our teachers at BCA and realize that they are the “heart” of the school. A school is its teachers! Because of their influence and dedication to our Lord and Savior, and to their calling of teaching, the BCA School Board and Administration wish to provide the very best in training, professional growth, compensation, and benefits. Realizing the tremendous value of great teachers and their influence on God’s precious children, our students, please give generously to this initiative so that BCA can continue to ensure academic excellence, cultural diversity, and spiritually equipped students.

Our desire is to help those families who want to provide a quality Christian education for their children, but do not have the resources to do so. This fund will allow academically eligible students to apply for financial assistance to become thriving members of the BCA Family.

With the ever-increasing amount of traffic on Garlington Road, we desire to be a visible presence as part of the ministry of Bridgeway Church by having a well-constructed and visible sign constructed in front of Bridgeway Christian Academy.

Current Needs

We need the necessary resources to make improvements to our programs in athletics, missions, science, mathematics, music, theatre, art, as well as special programs for gifted and challenged students. This will include equipment and supplies for our science lab, on-line learning curricula, purchase of musical instruments and props for our theatrical performances. We would also like to implement an elementary and middle school “Challenge Program” that pushes academically gifted students to reach their full learning potential through academic stimulation. In addition, there is a growing need in our community to meet the needs of students with learning differences including dyslexia; therefore, we would like to train all of our K-8 teachers, during the summer of 2017, in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading and language development

1. Athletics – $10,000

2. Fine Arts – $10,000

3. Gifted program for students – 3rd-8th grades – $10,000

4. Orton-Gillingham Training for teachers – $12,000

5. Sciences/Math – $10,000

6. Student Missions and Discipleship Program – $10,000

We need a robust digital communication strategy to successfully communicate that Bridgeway Christian Academy’s vision and mission creates a place where parents want to send their children. It would include effective marketing materials, a fresh looking, easy to navigate website that has the ability to attract perspective families, and other collateral pieces that we can leave behind to further promote our school in the community.

BCA families generously participate in several fundraisers through the school year.

  • LifeTouch provides our school with individual and class pictures each year. BCA receives 50% of the sales.
  • Walk-A-Thon. Our 1st through 5th grade classes participate in a walk-a-thon.
  • Boxtops for Education. BCA collects Boxtops for Education coupons with monthly incentives for the children to participate.
  • BCA participates in Chick-fil-A’s Spirit Night fundraiser several times during the school year.
  • BCA also participates in the fundraising programs presented by BI-LO, Publix, Target, Food Lion, Staples, Walmart, Garner’s and BJ’s.
